Wavefield

A musical toy for generative spatial audio

Place sound-making nodes in a 3D field. The nodes sense each other in space, then generate shifting rhythms, loops, and textures you can hear moving around you. Listen on any multichannel audio system.

How it works

Place nodes in space

Drop sound sources into a spatial field. Each node generates rhythm, tone, or texture.

Watch patterns emerge

Nodes interact based on proximity and connection. Generative rules create evolving loops.

Hear sound move around you

Audio flows through 3D space

No experience needed

No music theory, no production skills. Just tap, drag, and listen.

Born inside Sonic Sphere

Wavefield was designed for Sonic Sphere, a spherical venue where sound moves around, above, and below the audience.

It is built to work across spatial audio systems. Wavefield can send spatial audio over ADM-OSC for SPAT and similar renderers, output discrete speaker feeds over Dante, or multichannel PCM over HDMI for home theater systems.

From Sonic Sphere to 5.1, 7.1, Atmos-compatible rooms, and beyond, Wavefield turns spatial sound into something you can play.
